I liked the long queue!!

Its strange but honestly for the first time I liked waiting in the long queue. The day was 7th May and I came out to vote around 12pm. While coming, I was pretty sure that very few people would be coming out during this time because of the scorching sun.

I believe, we all are very impatient in nature and always look out for some shortcuts to avoid long queues..be it at the ticket counters, bill payments etc.  And for my surprise, I was welcomed by a quite a decent number of people waiting for their turn.

The initial queue was not that long but it was moving at a very slow pace for some obvious reasons. Now, going by the past experiences, I thought that some people might go back. But, after waiting for some time, I realized that this queue was something special. Everyone was waiting very enthusiastically for their turn as if some prize awaits inside. None was in complaining mood..everyone was exuding positive feelings inspite of the dreaded heat!!

 I could see a spark in everyone eyes as if each eye was telling the other I am here waiting to see the country as I want to see....

Are Campaigns the only solution for awareness?

i sincerely believe that by educating people , some change can be brought. But, that is more of a fad..for example the vote campaign..they have generated enough curiosity among youth to come out and vote..in short..the coolest thing around is that one should not be a pappu. 

.all said and done, but once we have voted..then what? Where do we go from here?

The answer is ..as we do self-evaluation in our personal and professional lives..in the same manner let's do a self-evaluation of our love for the country...and I am sure one will be able to find too many glitches..let's try and improve on that...I have started to walk on this path..and believe me, it instills a sense of responsibiltiy towards your motherland.

A kind of patriotism deep down inside you that no media campaigns can ever reach :)

Traffic Sense

One of the stark difference one can find between India and its western counterparts is the traffic mechanism. And its not like the traffic is very smooth in other countries, even they have big traffic jams!!. But, the point lies in the treatment given to fellow vehicles.

I believe that India is now developing its roads and some of them already developed are comparable to any world class city roads/highways..but still we lag in behavior traits. Now, one reason that I can see is the impatient nature. Most of us seems to be in a hurry..still to figure out the reason for this?? Another reason is lack of traffic control and probably the most encouraging factor for us to violate the traffic rules.

Hence, just having a proper infrastructure is not the complete solution. We need to change!!

The Mumbai Attacks..A New Beginning

Hi All,  

Honestly speaking, I don't know exactly whom to blame. I have always hated this blame game because this leads to more hatred feelings for each other.  

I have just one thing to ask..'At least when the subject is INDIA, please can't we do without it????' . And the irony is that this has to come from within...no IT, no FINES, no RULES can govern the thought process. Still, if we are looking for some tangible solutions, then one just needs to do some brainstorming and ideas will flow.  

Public should play a more active role. At least the Intellects of our country can think upon this. If they can do forecasts, do risk analysis and implement a disaster recovery management, then there is no doubt the kind of processes that can be initiated by them for combating terrorism.  

Apart from this, how can they believe on the statements made by captured terrorist just like that? I mean, if they have been so well trained, someone could have trained them on tackling this kind of situation. The Intelligence Agency needs to look from a more holistic point of view.
